Ipamorelin & CJC-1295 Dosage Guide

Reconstitution math, syringe draw reference, and the CJC-1295 + ipamorelin stack protocol — everything in one place.

What Are Ipamorelin and CJC-1295?

Two Compounds, One Common Stack

Ipamorelin is a selective growth hormone secretagogue and ghrelin receptor agonist. It has been investigated in preclinical and early clinical research for its potential to stimulate growth hormone release with a favorable selectivity profile compared to earlier GHRP compounds.

CJC-1295 (also called Modified GRF 1-29 or Mod GRF 1-29 when without the DAC modification) is a growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) analogue. It has been studied for its potential to extend the half-life of endogenous GHRH signaling, promoting pulsatile growth hormone release.

The two compounds are almost universally discussed and used together in the research community. Ipamorelin acts on the ghrelin receptor while CJC-1295 acts on the GHRH receptor — the combination is proposed to work through complementary mechanisms to amplify GH pulse amplitude.

Important: CJC-1295 with DAC and CJC-1295 without DAC (Mod GRF 1-29) are different compounds with different half-lives and dosing frequencies. This guide covers CJC-1295 without DAC, which is the more commonly used form in research protocols.

Dosing Reference

Common Research Doses

CompoundCommon doseFrequencyTiming
Ipamorelin200–300 mcgOnce to three times dailyFasted, preferably before sleep
CJC-1295 (no DAC)100–300 mcgSame injection as ipamorelinAlways paired with ipamorelin

Both compounds are dosed in micrograms (mcg). To use the calculator, convert to mg: 200 mcg = 0.20 mg, 300 mcg = 0.30 mg.

Most research protocols administer ipamorelin and CJC-1295 together in the same injection. The most common timing is before sleep in a fasted state, as GH secretion naturally peaks during sleep and fasting may enhance the GH response.

How Much BAC Water to Add

Ipamorelin and CJC-1295 are each supplied as separate lyophilized vials and reconstituted separately. Reconstitute each vial individually before drawing into the same syringe for injection.

The Stack Protocol

Ipamorelin + CJC-1295 Combined Protocol

The most common research protocol combines both compounds in a single subcutaneous injection once daily, typically before sleep in a fasted state. Some protocols use two or three injections daily — morning fasted and before sleep are the most common timing points.

ProtocolIpamorelin doseCJC-1295 doseFrequencyTiming
Standard200 mcg200 mcgOnce dailyBefore sleep, fasted
Higher range300 mcg300 mcgOnce dailyBefore sleep, fasted
Twice daily200 mcg200 mcgTwice dailyMorning fasted + before sleep

Fasted administration is preferred based on the hypothesis that insulin blunts GH release. Wait at least 2 hours after eating before injecting. Most researchers do not eat for 30–60 minutes after injection.
